8 weeks

We had lots of fun this week! Paige has started to really smile at us and enjoy her surroundings. Her favorite spot is on the dining room table where we have a changing station set up. There are 3 balloons hanging from the light fixture that she just can't get enough of. Wednesday we had our weekly play date with my friend, Sara, and her 15 month old son Noah. He continues to get more and more interested in Paige and she seems to find him entertaining.

On Friday we took our first trip to the park for a picnic and play time with Noah and some of his friends. The weather was amazing so we spent 3 hours downtown at White River State Park.

7 weeks

Grow Baby Grow! Paige is up to 10lbs 14oz! She is starting to sleep in longer stretches so we are only getting up once in the middle of the night. She's a big girl now sleeping in her crib all night for the last several nights. We took a couple weeks to make the transition which was probably more for us than her. She is growing out of her newborn diapers so we're switching to ones. Baby clothes are out of control...she has a few pair of preemie pants she still wears (as carpi's), her outfits are mostly newborn or 0-3, but then she's pushing the length in some of her 3 month sleepers. I guess I'll need to learn to eye-ball the size when I go shopping since you sure can't rely on what the tag says.

One Month

Paige gained 3 lbs pounds in her 1st month and was a great baby. We both thought caring for a newborn would be much harder. Don't get me wrong...we are tired and face new challenges every day. The cat and dog have both adjusted nicely to having a baby in the house. Carlie attempts to comfort Paige when she gets upset which is cute but annoying and the cat is still curious at times. A quick look back

So, I had planned to start this blog when Paige was born 6 and 1/2 weeks ago. That obviously didn't happen so I will take a quick look back starting on July 1st when Paige Marie entered this world 4+ weeks before her due date.
