12 weeks

I can't believe Paige is 12 weeks old. Brian said it best "I'm still not used to the fact that we have a baby and by the time I am she won't be a baby anymore." She weighs about 13lbs 14oz. Now that she's 12 weeks old I go back to work 3 days a week, Paige is off to daycare and to top it off my sister moved to Florida. So, instead of getting prepared for work and daycare we spent as much time as possible with Betsy in the last couple of weeks. We did make time for a few visits to meet her teacher and spend some time with her "new friends" she is very interested in other babies so I'm sure she will enjoy her time there.

bye bye aunt Betsy see you at Thanksgiving
This past weekend we headed to Cinci for cousin Brayden's dedication.

Nursery

Welcome to Paige's Winnie the Pooh room! I realize she is over 2 months old but we had a few projects to finish up. The very 1st thing we bought when we found out we were expecting was the Winnie the Pooh bedding so that was my starting point. The room was already yellow so I planned to use that color for at least part of the walls. We chose the darker furniture to coordinate with the bedding and the yellow walls. During one of my several trips to Babies R Us I stumbled across the wall decals in the clearance section so I scooped those up. I fell in love with the green in the bedding so that was the color I decided to use for the majority of the room. Then, I started looking for a wallpaper boarder to tie it all together. I looked and looked and looked and then I came up with the idea of circles so I ordered a few sets in the two browns to match the bedding.  The 2 yellow book shelves were made by my moms grandfather (Paige's great great grandpa) and were in her room as a kid and then mine. We stripped off the old paint and repainted them both. We also replaced the back of the long short one. After everything came together we decided we needed a lamp but I couldn't find anything to match so I bought a white one and created one of my own with some of the extra dots and letters I used to put her name on the door. I'm really happy with how everything came together.

Labor Day Weekend

Friday - Paige had her first visit to my parents restaurant. (For those of you who don't already know if you're headed out for breakfast or lunch it should be to Sunrise Cafe on east 86th Street.)

Saturday - Paige "watched" her 1st Purdue game! She was only awake long enough to suck down a bottle but I guess there wasn't much to see. Lets hope our Boilers can make something happen this season.

Sunday - We had a picnic lunch and a nice walk at our local state park.

Monday- We headed down to Broad Ripple for the Labor Day jazz street fair with my dad. Paige seemed to enjoy laying on the table in the shade watching all of the people go by as she listened to her 1st Jazz. If my dad has anything to say about it she will attending many more jazz concerts in her future.

2 month report

Paige hit 2 months old yesterday, September 1st. We also had her 2 month check-up. She is up to 11 lbs 14.5oz  (76%) and 23 inches (72%). "Perfectly proportioned" doctors words not mine. She's hitting all of her developmental milestones so mommy and daddy are very proud! On Tuesday we set out on an adventure to drop my mom off at the airport and visit daddy at work. We had a nice afternoon and evening meeting Brian's coworkers, dining at Claddagh, shopping, and finishing up with some ice cream before making the 45min drive back home. I'm not sure how he does it every day but he doesn't seem to mind being in the car that long.
